Our Heart's Condition
Paradise band came to our church today to lead worship. They were here for the past 4 days in the modern levites conference and it was such a blessing for them to be here to teach us how to be a levite for God. I learnt a lot from the conference, and felt that it was time to reflect on my walk with Jesus.a) Do I have a heart of a true worshipper?
b) Do I worship the Lord in spirit and in truth?
I just felt the presence of God during free worship and it was so powerful that I felt my heart crying out to God. In the process of it, I broke down and the Lord just ministered to me with His love. I was really ministered by paradise's song ‘Over and over’.Jesus, let Your people declare that they are falling in love with You over and over again.
After this conference, some how I know that deep down inside me I have changed. I know my destiny and my future more than ever and I just want to commit everything into His hands. I surrender all my plans to Him.
This are some of the things God has spoken to me:
a) Being a levite for God
- Something just spurred in my decision to make it a goal to join the youth band to serve God. It's such a joy that God has created music to be used to worship Him. Be it singing or playing an instrument to God, He has reminded me that in order to have the heart of a true worshipper, we have to worship Him in spirit and in truth. It will not be an easy road, but with God by my side, I believe that by faith I will be able to serve the church in this area. To me, the youth band seems very much like a family and I thank God for giving me an opportunity to know most of them.
b)Running the race that God has marked out for me
- For the past few weeks, my church has been preaching about the Running with the winners series and God just taught me more about how I can use these hands of mine to serve Him. Heard from Jeremiah that our pastors are preaching this series based on a book he read, I guess I will be borrowing the book from him after I finish 'the power of a praying teen', 'faith the link to God's power' and one other book that i'm currently reading.
c) Rise up as a leader
-This might not have been on my mind 2 years back, but God is an amazing God and He has special plans for each one of us. God has constantly renewed my mind so that my eyes are focused on the very focus, which is Jesus. For He has called us to rise up as leaders and disciple makers to disciple the nations, let our light shine before men intentionally so that they may see our good deeds and praise our Father in heaven.
Although this year is the Year of Victory, I have to constantly remind myself that the Year of Sabbath has not taken place yet and I still have to claim the victory that Christ has set before me.I have indeed been very blessed by God and I know God wants to bless you too. It is God's desire to bless you, however it all boils down to this question: 'Would you let him bless you?'
