My freedom in You

V1
Oh Jesus, I will give my praise to You
For great is Your love
Higher than the heavens
Oh Jesus, my heart is ever steadfast for You
For You are my desire
Your love endures forever

Pre-chorus
And there is none like You
Your praises fill the earth
And Holy are You Lord
Your praises fill the heavens
To You I will sing

Chorus
My Saviour,
In You I find my freedom,
My Redeemer,
You were there for me through it all
For I called and You answered me
Oh Lord, I thank You for the cross

V2
Oh Jesus, I will lift my hands to You
For You are worthy Lord
Always and forever
Oh Jesus, I give my life, my all to You
For You rescued me
By Your grace and mercy

Bridge
You gave me wings, so that I could soar
In Your freedom, I will live to worship You
You brought me this freedom,
Though I was undeserving
And I would honour You
For all you have done
---------------------------------------------------------
In Your freedom we will live, I will always remember what you have done for me. Thank You Lord for this song, as well as this freedom we have in You.

Recently my leader posted a question to us, 'who is Jesus to me?'
I gave it a deep thought and I knew the answer. God is the Lord of all, He is the Lord of everything in my life. But do I really mean what I say?

The supremacy of Christ is shown in Col 1:15-18
15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

Peter's response to who Christ was to him is shown in Matthew 16:15-16
"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

If we know who Christ is in our lives, then the next question we should ask is:
How are we presenting Christ in our lives? Is it by intentional acts?
Jesus said in Matt 5:13-16 that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. He adds on by saying "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." So are we shining our light intentionally in this dark world? We can do many things and have the assumption that we are shining our light brightly before the people around us. But in reality, they are still facing their backs to our light, not knowing the deeds we have done.

I thank God that He is a God who always teaches us a lesson. This time, He shows me that we have to be intentional in our actions so that the people around us may catch this glimpse of light and they may turn their way back to this path of light.
Indeed, the main idea for this blog was that I hope it would be a light that shines for God, giving glory to the Most High with songs and devotions.

Today God says to you,"Who do You say I am?"
